Wrecked the Camera

Marble floors and cameras don't mix - at least not when they come together at high speed. Hence the blogs have slowed down of late.

A sample of the photo quality our dropped camera now produces

We took it to get fixed today but the service centre had moved and hadn't bothered to update their website, so that will happen another day soon.

Anyway, there were a few shots on the camera that we hadn't downloaded (before the breakage) so here are the best of 'em.

Predictably, Flynn is getting more and more mobile and stable. He can now pull himself up on anything and sit back down. He pushes the dining chairs around the house and can open the ranchsliders. He has a fascination with anything that is dangerous or dirty, (the kitchen drain and bin) and is determined to insert his fingers into the fan cage, to feel those interesting-looking blades.

Next move? Pull the cord out the back of the laptop

He loves his books so much that he wants to sit in the basket with them

Even when babygroup is at our place, Flynn eschews
childish games in favour of some light reading

The other kids think him an oddball, but he's simply his own man

He also likes to help dad out with the umbrella

And can now crawl like a big-boy (ie hands and knees) - but reverts to
commando when high speed is required.

He's a happy wee chappy, but he does have his moments...

Though thankfully he's soon back with a smile and a sloppy kiss

eNZd

Blake here, have just had a quick business trip to NZ that coincided with a night out with the Auckland crew and then a couple of nights in Nelson - which coincided with Peter's 60th. Saw everyone, only missed one flight and even managed to see one sunrise (admittedly it was as we emerged from Spy Bar, which resulted in the missed flight) so the trip can be viewed as a success.

Pictures tell the story, prepare for a lot of self portraits, my humble apologies - and as Adrianne is not in the driving seat the pictures have appeared in reverse chronological order - which actually makes it more interesting:

Wonderful little Zac (as in Little John) wondering why I look like I might not make it home on the morning of my departure from Nelson

One of the reasons that I looked like that - Sam

One for Mum

The only shot from Brett and Nee's - sorry team, will have to get more in Feb. Regardless it was great to meet Harry, Alex, and Giorgia for the first time and see Lily, Hannah, Charlie, Isabella and their parents and friends again.

Calm before the storm in Auckland, trouble brewing at the top end of the table. Cheers for putting up with us Caz - and looking forward to seeing your little one next year.

Gorgeous little Ruby and mum

Ollie and Matt prior to the trip to Hamilton - happy birthday Tamsin

A wonderful sight to arrive to - congratulations Sharon and Nath!
