Uncle Ol and Auntie Rosie Come Visit

It was great to have Blake's brother Ol, and his partner Rosie visit us recently. They stayed for four days and we had a lot of fun taking them to see some of the sights around town.

We took a waterfront walk and checked out the Merlion, after enjoying some classic singaporean dishes from a open-air food court.

Sentosa Island was always going to be on the sight-seeing list...

Beer o'clock

Macritchie reservoir was also a must-see... but poor Ol and Rosie were shortchanged when NOT ONE monkey appeared and not so much as one turtle showed up (let alone the water monitors -which are the size of small crocs). Still, it's a very pleasant spot.

Ol teaches Flynn spear-fishing

Clarke Quay was also an obligatory stop

They had the fountains going and of course Flynn can never resist. (Now I know you've seen similar Clarke-Quay-Flynn-Fountain photos many times, but I'm afraid you're just going to see them again.)

Oh Joy!

Flynn insists on being chased through the fountains

And must touch each fountain individually, at least once

Soon a crowd of tourists formed, delighted and charmed by
The Entertainer, asking permission to film and photograph his cuteness

Flynn was very gracious and answered all their questions patiently

When it came time to leave, he flashed them a winning smile and
promised to let them photograph him another time

When I Grow Up

What do you want to be when you grow up Flynn?

A rally car driver!

Faster please co-pilot!

(seen here speeding down the street outside our apartment complex)

A Sheep Farmer!

A tractor driver!

Faster please co-pilot!

A hunter!

A nudist

A nudist accountant!

Playtime at Royce Kids

Who wants to go to Royce Kids? (the local indoor fun centre/playground)

ME ME ME ME ME ME!

Flynn leaves his mark on much of the equipment

Peekaboo!

The ride-on cars and bikes are his all-time favourites

Let's take this cop car for a spin mum

Ah, the sports car is more me I think

Yo, mum! Where's my snack?

Sentosa Sunday

A few weeks ago we went to Sentosa Island for a day's fun.

They have a couple of great areas for kids with fountains and streams to play in, as well as the beach (of course).

Fortunately we happened to go at the time of a water fun festival for kids. There was a foam pit, bouncy castle, bubble machines and lots more water-based fun. Flynn wasn't too sure about the foam pit at first.
