 A little girl was vigorously sweeping the floor (at a local play centre) and swept a nice arc that collided with Flynn's eye.
After some persuasion, Flynn let her live.

Chinese Lantern Festival

At our condo their is an annual Lantern Festival that includes dancing demonstrations, games for kids, music, mooncake tasting, a buffet supper and a lantern walk (culminating with a lantern for each of the kids). It's a fun social occasion for the residents of Aspen Heights, esp the kids.

Flynn is great buddies with benjy now and spends lots of time kissing, grabbing, talking to and generally smothering him. Benjy likes most of the attention and can cope with quite a lot of well-intentioned roughness.

In other news...

Benjy has gone from being a great sleeper (9pm to 7am, no waking) to being not such a good sleeper. He is currently having some sort of crisis which usually involves him waking a couple of times between 12am to 4am. When he wakes he wants to feed, then wants me to jump through hoops to get him into a sleepy state again.

In the wee hours of the morning, I can usually be found hanging over the side of the cot with my pinky finger in his mouth for twenty minutes or so, until he seems asleep... when I slowly and delicately remove said pinky - only to find that he's not asleep at all (and is quite annoyed that I tried to make a break for it) and thus we begin the process again.

Unfortunately his preference for my finger has rendered his dummies redundant  - in fact he now refuses point blank to take one - arghhh!

Phuket, again.

We don't mean to bore you, but once again we went to Phuket for a holiday. It's only a one-hour flight and well set up for tourists, which makes it an easy destination with kids in tow - so, here we are again!

We had a week staying on Kata Beach - well recommended for a beach break away from it all.

nearby pool-goers away - hence we had the pool to ourselves!

Yes, but 30 seconds later, Flynn walked forward and one leg slipped right

down into the big drain hole you can see a metre in front of him.  He badly grazed his leg and got a big fright. That was the end of the temple visit.

we were able to take the pram on (un-collapsed), they were the

perfect way to get around
