The Aspen Heights Decathalon

As an excuse for a bit of fun, one of the guys at our condo organized a 'decathalon of sports', geared mainly toward the kiwi/oz male contingent of Aspen Heights, which consisted of a variety of events over one saturday in Oct.

The events included ball sports (mainly throwing, kicking or hitting a ball at a target), an uphill pram race (complete with bewildered child in pram), swimming, underwater swimming and more. The event culminated in an evening session, where pool, darts and a pint skull completed the decathalon.

It was a very amusing family event, and we are proud to report that Blake and Flynn won the uphill pram race and Blake came second and third in a couple of the other events. We only got photos of the evening unfortunately - where Blake and I came as 'female tennis doubles partners' - with Blake wearing my nighty.
