She held a pool party at a friend's condo on the east coast. The party started in the afternoon with a bbq and some splashing about it the pool.
Blake soon found himself at home on a lilo with a beer bottle holder.
We went with our new English buddy Nick, who used to flat with Matt and Ollie back home. Nick is great - he seemed like a quiet lad at first...
Predicably, things soon developed into a full scale, alcohol-fuelled debacle, and the old 'no running, jumping or pushing' rule soon went out the window.
As the evening wore on, the pool antics got progressively more dangerous, with Blake leading the charge on back-flop competitions - all of which he won in back-smacking lack of style. He had some good back bruises the next day.
There was also a lot of water fighting with some kick-ass water guns. These started out as pretty friendly...
Then they got serious
I, of course was not drinking or doing back-flops, and had to content myself with some sedate chatting and photography. I did sneak one sip of Blake's corona, just a a family across the other side of the pool turned to look at me (and my large belly). It's all about timing.
But it was just as well I was sober, as I had to leave around 8pm to go pick up mum and my sister, Lisa - who were arriving in Singapore from NZ. Blake managed to negotiate a time-extension and he joined us back at home at around 11pm that night - trying hard to string his sentences together, bless him.
