Early Snow!

The weather continues to be unpredicable here. After a late-starting and short-lived summer, we had a short, sharp burst of extreme cold, with snow - in October (very unusual).

We did not get much of a covering in the garden, but a few minutes drive into the hills behind us, and it was a winter wonderland.

Then off for a walk in the farmland nearby. The cows seemed to be bearing up.

Flynn and Benjy were thrilled!

Then as quickly as it came, the weather relaxed back into normal autumn temperatures and some beautiful blue-sky days

Then... we hit December and winter arrived properly. This weekend just past, we had a great snowfall of about 6cm. The boys were beside themselves and wanted to run out in pyjamas. I managed to get them into ski gear and they were outside by 8am.

Delirious with joy, Flynn passes out

Bit of snow-ball

Benjy saves the goal!

Playtime over  - Flynn dusts off the car

Not to be outdone, Benjy dusts off his car

They check ALL the cars...."There appears to be a mechanical failure Benjy"

Everything looks so beautiful covered in snow

Including cheeky two-year-olds!
