Benjy Turns Four!

Benjy had a great birthday week, kicking off celebrations on the actual day with present-opening

Birthday cake number one

Then a visit to a cafe up in the hills, with some petting animals and a small playground

Ice-cream sundae time

A quick see-saw

Then off to the nearby bumper cars, where Benjy rode the car all by himself for the first time (and figured out steering!)

As is traditional here, a birthday is also celebrated at your playgroup. So Benjy also had to take cupcakes for his forest playgroup and his indoor playgroup and was the birthday king on those days.

The following weekend we had his party here at home

Throw the ball in the bucket

Prizes for winners and enthusiastic participants

Statues is always the favourite

So much so that it just will not do when one does not win each round

A speedy recovery for more statues

My creative friend always makes birthday pinatas so we gave it a bash (pun intended) this year too

Pippi is Benjy's best friend and thankfully they will go to the same kindergarten in August together (Benjy will happily do anything if Pippi is doing it)

And the final party cake, theme choice by Benjy and blessedly easy with the help of plastic figures!

Finishing off with a party popper (that explodes small xmas-cracker-type toys/junk everywhere)

Flynn's second teeth are coming in nicely

                      He had a great birthday week and is already asking when his next party is.
