The title says it all.
Our old laptop died a slow death... slowly withdrawing core services until we could no longer even access the internet. It took a long time for us to face facts - believing as we did that it might recover on its own, if left to rest adequately. After a long opportunity for convalescence, it became clear that it was not to be. And so i took the bull by the horns last week and wrangled us a new laptop which is performing very nicely so far (today being it's inaugural performance, since we have been in Sweden on holiday - but more about that later).
I haven't been able to change the language on it to English yet, but i have managed to change the keyboard settings to match an English keyboard (unlike the one i'm typing on) - most confusing as now you can't look to the keys as a guide for what will appear when you touch them. Interesting to see how many of the punctuation keys you can remember without looking!
Anyways, we can Skype again as well as blog, which means you should be seeing and hearing a lot more from us soon.
